The Athens Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the return of the Leadership Athens program for the fall of 2024! This revitalized program is set to nurture and develop the next generation of community leaders through dynamic workshops, seminars, and hands-on activities.
The purpose of Leadership Athens is to develop and enhance leadership skills, foster community trusteeship, and promote personal and professional growth while learning all about the Athens/Henderson County community. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the Athens community, its needs, and opportunities through a series of interactive and informative sessions.
Program Duration: 7 months
Location: All classes begin and end at Athens Partnership Center, 201 W. Corsicana, unless notified otherwise. Please note that transportation to local stops during the day will be provided.

**Additional Requirement: Attend one AISD Board and one Athens City Council meeting on your own (dates of these meetings will be provided for reference).
The leadership class will work together on a project, such as building benches in a public park or another community enhancement project. Participants are encouraged to share progress and completion on social media using the designated leadership hashtag.
