Brought to you by the Athens Chamber of Commerce, the City of Athens, and a growing number of supporters, we invite you to join us for the annual Black-Eyed Pea Jamboree! This year's festival will feature the Uncle Fletcher Hamburger Cookoff and take place on October 18, 2025. 

Join us as we celebrate our reigning title as Black-Eyed Pea Capital of the World! The festival will take place on the Henderson County square in downtown Athens. The festival will have something for everyone of all ages to include:

Live entertainment, a 5K race and family fun run, arts/craft vendors, Kids Zone, an antique tractor show, food vendors, turtle races, watermelon seed spitting competition, black-eyed pea cookoff, hamburger cookoff, hamburger eating contest, mooing competition, horchata cookoff, historical pop-up museum, historical video and so much more!
