Brought to you by the Athens Chamber of Commerce, City of Athens, and a growing number of supporters, we invite you to join us for the annual Black-Eyed Pea Jamboree! This years festival will feature the Uncle Fletcher Hamburger Cookoff and take place the 3rd week of September.
Join us as we celebrate our reigning title as Black-Eyed Pea Capital of the World! This two-day festival has been expanded to THREE days and will take place on Thursday, September 19th in the Trinity Valley Community College Auditorium, and Friday and Saturday, September 20-21st on the Henderson County square in downtown Athens. The festival will have something for everyone of all ages to include:
Live entertainment, a 5K race and family fun run, arts/craft vendors, Kids Zone, an antique tractor show, food vendors, turtle races, watermelon seed spitting competition, black-eyed pea cookoff, hamburger cookoff, hamburger eating contest, mooing competition, horchata cookoff, historical pop-up museum, historical video and so much more!
